Wia dis foto come from, Emirates

Wetin we call dis foto, Emirates Airline

6 hours wey don pass

Emirates Airline go resume dia services for Nigeria from 1 October 2024, dis na wetin operators of di airline tok.

Emirates bin stop dia flights for Nigeria sake of gbege wey dem bin dey get wit Nigeria gomet since 2021.

According to statement wey dem post for dia social media platform X, dem go dey operate daily services between Lagos and Dubai.

Dem go also give customers more choice and connectivity from di largest city for Nigeria wey be Lagos to, and thru Dubai too.

“We dey happy to resume our services to Nigeria. Di Lagos-Dubai service dey traditionally popular to Nigeria customers and we hope to reconnect leisure and business travellers to Dubai and onwards to our network of over 140 destinations.” Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer of Emirates Adnan Kazim tok.

Dem thank Nigerian goment for dia partnership and support to re-establish di route, dem add say dem dey look forward to welcome passengers back onboard.

According to di statement, di flight EK783 go comot from Dubai at 09:45 and e go arrive Lagos by 15:20.

Di return flight EK784 go comot from Lagos by 17:30 and land for Dubai by 05:10 di next day.

Emirates say dem don build strong bilateral trade relations wit Nigeria for many years as a major economic hub in Africa, Nigeria and di UAE.

Dem explain say as dem dey resume passenger flights for Nigeria dem go support Nigeria businesses by exporting dia goods from Dubai, into key markets like di UAE, Malaysia, Hong Kong, and Bahrain, and many more wit dia SkyCargo.

Dem go export items like Kola nuts, foods and beverages, and urgent courier material.

Dem go also import important goods like pharmaceuticals and electronics as well as general cargo from key markets such like di UAE, India and Hong Kong.

Why Emirates bin suspend dia flights for Nigeria

For 13 December, 2021 na im Emirates airline suspend dia flights between Nigeria and Dubai.

Nigeria bin impose directive wey reduce Emirates to operate one flight per week to Nigeria through Abuja.

Emirates Airline for statement dem bin release on 10 December, 2021 add say;

Di last flights to operate on 12 December 2021 go be EK 783/784 to and from Lagos and EK 785/786 to and from Abuja.

Emirates na di largest airline for UAE and one of two flag carriers of di United Arab Emirates.

Customers from Nigeria wey dey hold tickets with final destinations Lagos and Abuja no go dey accepted at di point of origin.

E bin mean say di pipo wey bin wan fly enta Nigeria from go dey rejected from wia dem book di flight.

Emirates airline dey base for Garhoud, Dubai, di airline na part of di Emirates Group, wey di goment of Dubai’sInvestment Corporation of Dubai get.

Dis bin happun afta less dan two weeks wey Emirates just resume Lagos and Abuja flights afta dem bin suspend operation for 10 months sake of disagreement dem bin get wit Nigeria goment.

Wetin bin really cause di ban

For 10 months, between 4 February and end of November, 2021 Emirates Airlines stop to dey airlift Nigerians to Dubai from Abuja and Lagos airports.

Di ban na sake of say dem no allow di Presidential Taskforce on Covid-19 [PTF] to allow di airline conduct rapid test for coronavirus.

Di airline bin make di test compulsory for dia passengers, four hours before dem board dia flights.

But di arrangement no go down well wit Nigerian Federal Goment authorities.

Presidential Task Force on COVID-19 [PTF], according tori wey bin dey ground, dey plan to provide di infrastructure for Emirates Airlines.

Di plan na to conduct Rapid Antigens Test [RDT] on passengers wey wan fly from Nigeria in readiness for di resumption of flights.

But wit dis latest travel update, Emirates flights from Nigeria fit no dey available for a longer time.

Di question wey pipo dey ask now na weda UAE go lift di ban wey dem put for Nigerian.

Na for October 2022, UAE ban Nigeria and 19 oda Africa kontris sake of immigration issues. .

For sometime now Nigerians no fit travel go Dubai sake of di ban wey dem place on dem.

Tori bin fly upandan for March, 2024 say dem don lift di travel ban on Nigerians wey wan travel go Dubai.

But di Nigeria goment deny di claim say United Arab Emirates don lift visa ban wey dem impose on Nigerians wey wan travel go dia kontri.

Bayo Onanuga, one of di tok tok pesin for president Bola Tinubu bin say United Arab Emirates neva start to dey issue Visa for Nigeria travellers.

Oga Bayo explain say di document wey bin dey circulation wit di title ‘Joint Announcement by di goment of Nigeria and di UAE on 4th March, 2024’ no be di Nigeria goment or UAE goment issue am.
