flydubai, the Dubai-based carrier, strengthens its presence in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) with the launch of new routes to two exciting destinations in Saudi Arabia: Al Jouf and Red Sea International.
Flights to both Al Jouf Airport (AJF) and Red Sea International Airport (RSI) will commence on April 18th, 2024, operating twice weekly from Terminal 2 at Dubai International Airport (DXB).
Boosting Regional Connectivity

Growing Network and New Destinations
flydubai boasts an impressive network spanning 129 destinations in 58 countries. Their fleet consists of a young and efficient fleet of 86 Boeing 737 aircraft.
2024 has already seen flydubai inaugurate operations to Langkawi, Mombasa, and Penang, with upcoming launches to Basel, Riga, Sochi, Tallinn, and Vilnius planned for later this year.
Pioneering Flights to the Red Sea
“flydubai becomes the first UAE carrier to operate flights to Red Sea International, offering passengers a direct gateway to Saudi Arabia’s stunning Red Sea resorts,” stated Sudhir Sreedharan, Senior Vice President, Commercial Operations (UAE, GCC, Subcontinent and Africa) at flydubai.
“This move reinforces our commitment to opening up underserved markets and connecting the regions we serve through Dubai’s thriving aviation hub.”
Red Sea International Airport (RSI) will provide seamless access for guests traveling to The Red Sea destination.
Currently, two luxurious resorts grace the destination: Six Senses Southern Dunes and St. Regis Red Sea Resort.
The Red Sea destination is adding three more resorts this year, bringing the total to 50 planned for completion by 2030.
The Red Sea promises an unforgettable experience, featuring up to 8,000 hotel rooms. It will provide over 1,000 residential properties spread across 22 islands and six inland sites.
The destination will also encompass luxury marinas, golf courses, diverse entertainment options. It boasts exceptional food and beverage offerings, and a variety of leisure facilities.
RSI: Welcoming International Travelers
Commenting on the announcement, Michael White, Chief Commercial Officer of Red Sea International Airport, expressed his enthusiasm. “The arrival of international travelers marks a pivotal chapter in RSI’s development. This follows the successful launch of domestic flights in September 2023.”

Flight Details
- Al Jouf (AJF): Flights depart from Terminal 2, Dubai International (DXB) twice weekly on Mondays and Thursdays.
- Red Sea International (RSI): Flights depart from Terminal 2, Dubai International (DXB) twice weekly on Thursdays and Sundays.
Fares
- Roundtrip Business Class fares from DXB to AJF start from AED 8,000. Economy Class Lite fares will start from AED 1,400. Roundtrip fares from AJF to DXB start from SAR 5,000 in Business Class and SAR 1,200 in Economy Class Lite.
- Roundtrip Business Class fares from DXB to RSI start from AED 9,000. Economy Class Lite fares start from AED 3,100. Roundtrip fares from RSI to DXB start from SAR 9,000 in Business Class and SAR 3,100 in Economy Class Lite.
