CAPE TOWN – There was pandemonium at the Cape Town International Airport on Thursday night.
The police’s bomb squad was deployed to respond to a security alert.
The unit moved in after the crew of a FlySafair aircraft was alerted to an onboard security threat.
Passengers and crew were taken off the flight for a sweep to be done.
The bomb squad also conducted a thorough sweep of the airport.
The flight was set to take off for OR Tambo International Airport.
