Iberia’s New Distribution Capability content is available on the Travelport Plus platform, the travel technology company announced Tuesday. The Iberia NDC content is currently available only in Portugal, but all other markets “are expected to gain access in the coming weeks,” according to Travelport.
Travelport in December 2021 agreed with Iberia parent International Airlines Group to offer its carriers’ NDC content through Travelport Plus.
BTN portfolio mate The Beat this month reported that an IAG deal with Sabre included an NDC surcharge, and previously reported that IAG carrier British Airways would levy an NDC surcharge through Amadeus. Neither Iberia nor Travelport responded to requests for comment as to whether Iberia would levy a surcharge on NDC bookings through Travelport Plus.
