During a flight in April, a talented artist decided to capture a moment of kindness by sketching one of the flight attendants, creating a touching exchange that has since captured the hearts of many online.
The artist, identified as Sumouli Dutta, shared her experience in a video posted on Instagram. “I just did this for the very FIRST time. I always draw strangers but never share with them because I am a very shy and introverted person,” Dutta captioned her post. However, inspired by the encouragement of an observant flight attendant who praised her talent, Dutta decided to sketch a cartoon character for her. Overcoming her initial hesitation, Dutta presented the artwork to the flight attendant during the journey to Amritsar.
In the video, Dutta expressed her nerves about the gesture, but the warm and appreciative response from the flight attendant made her feel valued. “I tried and she loved it,” Dutta shared.
In a heartening display of reciprocity, the flight attendant returned Dutta’s gesture with a “big plate of goodies” and a handwritten card, leaving Dutta overwhelmed with gratitude.
