On a recent IndiGo flight from a small town to a metropolitan city, disturbing behavior unfolded as a group of 12-15 individuals, seemingly colleagues from the same company, engaged in disrespectful conduct towards an air hostess.
Witnessing this incident, a solo traveler recounted the unsettling episode, shedding light on the need for greater awareness and accountability in public spaces.
As passengers were boarding the flight, members of the group began making derogatory comments about the air hostess. One individual even dared another to request assistance from the air hostess in buckling his seatbelt, despite no apparent issue.
To the astonishment of fellow passengers, the challenge was accepted, and the air hostess was called over to “fix” the supposedly faulty seatbelt. Upon obliging, the air hostess was met with cheers and applause from the group, including the female members, who addressed some of the men as “Sir.”
This incident, occurring in South India, raises concerns in the wake of recent events in Jharkhand, where similar behavior was reported. Despite the diverse composition of the group, which included both men and women, no objections were raised to the disrespectful treatment of the air hostess.
