JetBlue heads to Ireland with daily flights to Dublin from New York and Boston  – AeroTime

Coming just in time for St Patrick’s Day which will be celebrated by Irish communities worldwide on March 17,  2024, JetBlue has commenced scheduled flights between New York-JFK and Boston to Dublin in the Republic of Ireland. The new services began on March 13, 2024, with the first services landing in the Emerald Isle the following morning, both operated by the carrier’s A321neos.

The new summer seasonal from New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) and Boston Logan International Airport (BOS) to Dublin Airport (DUB) will operate daily until September 30, 2024. The addition of Dublin flights expands JetBlue’s footprint in Europe, with flights also serving Paris, Amsterdam, London,  and now Dublin. The airline is also due to launch seasonal flights to Edinburgh and additional frequencies to Paris later in spring 2024.

The new flights depart New York-JFK at 20:47 local time arriving in Dublin the following morning at 09:00 (flight number B6841) while the return flight departs Dublin at 10:45 arriving back in New York at 13:22  (flight B6842).

From Boston, the flight (B6353) leaves at 20:42 local time and arrives in Dublin the following day at 08:40. The return flight (B6354) departs Dublin at 10:55 arriving in Boston at 12:57. 

According to the carrier, travelers from the US account for nearly 20% of all overseas tourism to Ireland, and Dublin has been among the most requested European destinations previously not served by JetBlue.

With a strong, historic connection between Ireland and the United States and especially within JetBlue’s Northeast focus cities of New York and Boston, the addition of Dublin flights is likely to open up competition on the routes even further, with both Aer Lingus and Delta already serving New York and Boston from Ireland’s capital.

In addition to the direct services, passengers flying from Ireland to the US with JetBlue will also be able to connect via the US gateways to a huge range of other destinations located across the US, Canada, the Caribbean, and Latin America.

JetBlue has disrupted the transatlantic market since it first launched flights to London (Heathrow and Gatwick) in 2021. The new Dublin services are served by JetBlue’s 11-strong fleet of Airbus A321LR aircraft which each seat 160 passengers – 16 business (or ‘Mint’) class, 42 in premium economy and 102 in economy class.

The airline’s Mint premium cabin, which is available on all services to and from Dublin, offers passengers fully lie-flat private suites with a sliding door, custom-designed seat cushions, and designer amenity kits. Mint passengers are also served restaurant-style inflight meals designed by some of New York’s leading chefs.
