Kenya Airways and Qatar Airways have announced a new strategic codeshare agreement, aiming to significantly expand connectivity between Africa and Asia. The collaboration will see Kenya Airways placing its marketing code, KQ, on Qatar Airways’ flights to key destinations across Asia, including popular hubs like Doha, Dubai, and Guangzhou. Conversely, Qatar Airways will place its marketing code, QR, on Kenya Airways’ flights connecting Nairobi to several destinations within Africa, such as Kilimanjaro, Entebbe, and Zanzibar.
