Kenya Airways and Qatar Airways have entered into a new codeshare partnership, expanding travel options for customers. This collaboration allows passengers to book flights operated by either airline through either carrier’s booking channels.
The partnership aims to enhance connectivity between Kenya and the broader global network offered by Qatar Airways. This means more convenient travel routes and potentially increased flight frequency for passengers traveling between Kenya and various international destinations.
Under the agreement, Kenya Airways will place its marketing code (KQ) on flights operated by Qatar Airways to several destinations across the Middle East, Europe, and Asia. Conversely, Qatar Airways will place its marketing code (QR) on Kenya Airways-operated flights between Nairobi and select destinations in Africa.
This codeshare is expected to benefit travelers by providing a more seamless journey, with a single ticket covering flights operated by both airlines. It signifies a deepening of the relationship between the two national carriers, aiming to leverage their respective strengths to serve a wider customer base.
The agreement is effective as of October 2025, making the new travel options available to customers.
