Sharjah Airport Authority (SAA) has welcomed Kenya Airways Cargo to its growing roster of operating cargo companies.
This strategic partnership aligns with SAA’s commitment to providing exceptional cargo services and fostering strong relationships with key industry players.
The new additional further reinforces the UAE airport’s position as a leading international cargo hub.
Official Welcoming Ceremony
The official ceremony marking this significant collaboration was attended by esteemed dignitaries, including HE Ali Salim Al Midfa, Chairman of SAA, HE Sheikh Faisal Bin Saoud Al Qassimi, Director of SAA, Honorable Cosmas Kimutai Sigei, Chargé d’Affaires of the Kenyan Embassy in Abu Dhabi, and Allan Kilavuka, Group Managing Director & CEO of Kenya Airways Cargo.
The event also welcomed directors and representatives from both organizations, alongside distinguished guests from Kenya and the United Arab Emirates.
Boosting Cargo Connectivity
Kenya Airways Cargo will operate four direct weekly flights from Nairobi, Kenya, to Sharjah Airport using B737F cargo aircraft.
This increased frequency and dedicated freighter service will significantly enhance cargo connectivity between East Africa and the Middle East, offering businesses efficient and reliable airfreight solutions.
HE Ali Salim Al Midfa, Chairman of SAA, spoke on the new arrival, stating, “Sharjah Airport Authority is committed to developing the logistical aspects of our airport and enhancing cargo services for our clients.”

Unlocking Growth Potential
Allan Kilavuka, Group Managing Director & CEO of Kenya Airways Cargo, highlighted the strategic importance of this partnership, particularly for facilitating trade between Africa and the UAE. He stated,
