Commencing on 1st May, Qatar Airways will introduce daily flights between Doha and Budapest, deploying Boeing 787-8 aircraft. These Dreamliner flights are set to continue until the conclusion of the summer schedule on 26th October, replacing the previously used Airbus A320-200s.
According to Airportal.hu, Qatar Airways will operate flights between Doha and Budapest on varying schedules throughout the week.
On Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, flights will depart Doha at 02.25 a.m. local time, reaching Budapest at 07.05 a.m. Return flights from Budapest will depart at 10.20 a.m., arriving in Doha at 4.40 p.m. On Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays, departures from Doha will be at 09.10 a.m. local time, with arrival in Budapest scheduled for 1.50 p.m. Return flights from Budapest will depart at 4.05 p.m., landing in Doha at 10.25 p.m. Qatar Airways will employ Boeing 787-8 aircraft for these flights, each boasting 254 seats, comprising 22 in business class and 232 in economy class.
In the business class section of the aircraft, seats are arranged in a herringbone 1-2-1 layout, with additional seats located behind the reception area. All business class seats can fully convert into horizontal beds, measuring approximately 55.88 centimetres wide and 203 centimetres long when extended. Each seat is equipped with a large 43 centimetres diameter monitor, a built-in removable remote control, a USB socket and a mains charger.
In economy class, seats are arranged in a 3-3-3 layout, with a seat width of 43.7 centimetres and a seat pitch of 78.7 centimetres. Passengers in economy class have access to the Oryx in-flight entertainment system, which can be operated through a touchscreen control unit on 30.7 centimetres diameter monitors. These monitors can either be integrated into the headrest of the preceding seat or opened from the armrest in the front rows.
The Dreamliner promises a quieter experience compared to its predecessors, boasting lower cabin pressure and higher humidity on board, akin to lower altitudes, thus contributing to reducing stress during long-haul flights.

The Boeing 787 Dreamliner, also known during its development as the 7E7 or Y2, is a long-range, mid-size, wide-body, twin-engine airliner produced by Boeing Commercial Airplanes in the United States. It can accommodate 242-335 passengers across three classes.
Distinguished by its extensive use of composite materials in its fuselage, the Dreamliner is designed to consume 20% less fuel than the Boeing 767. During its development and production, Boeing collaborated with suppliers worldwide, originally aiming for service commencement in May 2008. However, delays led to the cancellation of orders for 33 planes by early 2009.
The first Dreamliner flight took place on 15 December, 2009, with test flights continuing until mid-2011. The development of the aircraft cost the company a total of 32 Billion dollars. LOT Polish Airlines was the first in Europe to purchase the Boeing 787, prompting Airbus to initiate the design of its competitor, the Airbus A350, upon learning of the Dreamliner’s development.
