Explore Osaka Easily: Daily Qatar Airways Doha Flights

Last week, Qatar Airways restarted flights between Doha & Osaka Kansai, as route expansion continues.

The carrier has been busy over the last few weeks announcing route resumptions & frequency additions.

Without further ado, let’s get into it…

The New Doha-Osaka Flights…

Qatar Airways resumed flights between Doha and Osaka on March 1, with the scheduling being as follows:

• Doha (DOH) to Osaka (KIX) – QR802 Departure 01:10, Arrival 16:30
• Osaka (KIX) to Doha (DOH) – QR803 Departure 18:00, Arrival 00:05+1

Commenting on the route restart was Qatar Airways Chief Commercial Officer, Mr. Thierry Antinori:

“As we continue to be at the forefront of global connectivity, Qatar Airways is delighted to once again serve the Kansai region of Japan with our new Osaka route.”

“This strategic expansion strengthens the award-winning airline’s commitment to the Japanese market, opening a gateway for travellers from Japan to the “Best Airport in the Middle East”, Hamad International Airport and our network of over 170 destinations across Africa, Europe, the Middle East and more.”

The airline has also marketed it’s codesharing arrangement with Japan Airlines as a benefit to fly as well.

Such an arrangement cements the partnership that they both have, and is part of “laying foundations for the future growth of both partners”.

The Airline Has Been Busy With Route Announcements…

Looking away from the Doha-Osaka flights, Qatar Airways has been busy over the course of this week with routes.

At ITB Berlin, the airline expanded their global reach with boosted frequencies for Summer 2024.

They are as follows:

• Barcelona – 14 weekly to 21 weekly.
• Boston – Seven weekly to 10 weekly.
• Brussels – Seven weekly to 10 weekly.
• Copenhagen – Four weekly to seven weekly.
• Kuala Lumpur – Seven weekly to 14 weekly.
• Manchester – 18 weekly to 21 weekly.
• Miami – Seven weekly to 10 weekly.
• Nice – Four weekly to seven weekly.
• Oslo – Seven to 14 weekly.
• Paris – 21 weekly to 28 weekly.
• Rome – 18 weekly to 21 weekly.
• Seoul – Seven weekly to eight weekly.
• Tunis – Seven weekly to 10 weekly.
• Warsaw – 10 weekly to 14 weekly.

We will no doubt continue to see more expansion from Qatar Airways over the course of this year.

The airline has been preparing scheduling not just for Summer 2024, but for Winter 2024/25.

Within their announcement at ITB Berlin, the airline has stated that they will increase flights out of Berlin from 14 to 18 weekly.

Overall…

It remains clear that Qatar Airways is serious about global expansion from it’s gateway in Doha.

The flight resumption from Osaka, as well as the announcements made at ITB Berlin highlights this further.

Looking ahead, all eyes will be on whether anymore announcements will be made in due course.
