Great (and long overdue) news for points and miles fans: You can now redeem JetBlue TrueBlue points for flights on Qatar Airways.
Although JetBlue and Qatar have had a codeshare agreement for many years, it wasn’t until this month that you could redeem Qatar Airways Avios for JetBlue flights. Now JetBlue is returning the favor as first flagged by AwardWallet.
This is particularly good news because it is possible to book Qatar Airways Qsuites at very competitive rates, and new redemption options are always welcome around here!
Let’s take a look at the details …
Redeem TrueBlue Points for Qsuites
If you have a healthy balance of JetBlue TrueBlue points and aren’t thrilled with your redemption options on JetBlue, you now have the option to book a Qatar Airways flight — including the coveted Qsuite.
Plus, you can book these seats online without any additional surcharges.
Business class Qsuite flights from the U.S. to Doha cost 70,000 points, the same amount that American Airlines charges … which is a great deal as these tickets often cost over $10,000.
However, unlike redeeming American Airlines AAdvantage miles, if you are traveling beyond Doha (like to the Maldives, for example), the price will increase significantly.

Seats in economy class are currently pricing out at 34,000 and 53,000 points, respectively.
At the moment, it looks like flying to Doha is the least expensive option, with prices varying based on the final destination and distance.
How To Earn JetBlue TrueBlue Points
Despite costing more for some redemptions, JetBlue TrueBlue points are a nice option because they are relatively easy to earn — not necessarily by flying JetBlue, but because JetBlue is a transfer partner of American Express, Chase, and Citi, all at a 1:1 ratio.

Final Thoughts
It is always good news for consumers when a new redemption opportunity pops up.
This one is particularly sweet because it can help unlock one of the best business class seats in the sky — the Qatar Airways Qsuite!
Since JetBlue TrueBlue points are relatively easy to earn, travelers should be excited about this expanded partnership and the possibility of checking a bucket list flight off their list soon!
