RHS Flower Show Tatton Park is bringing a colourful floral extravaganza to Cheshire from 21- 25 July as one of the first events in the North West to return this summer.
Celebrating a ‘Summer of Love’, the show will be full of ideas and inspiration for budding and expert gardeners with an array of inspirational gardens and horticultural displays. Plus there will be plenty of family fun activities as well as plants and garden sundries for visitors to get everything they need to garden and grow this summer.
Here is a round-up of some of the highlights not to miss at this year’s show as it makes a welcome return:
- Inspirational Gardens – The gardens on display will offer an abundance of ideas and inspiration. Innovative planting and design ideas can be found in the Tatton Gardens, while big ideas for small spaces will be showcased in the iconic Back to Back Gardens and the new Community Borders will be flourishing with summer planting combinations celebrating the themes of ‘love’ and ‘colour’.
- RHS Young Designer of the Year – Known for launching the careers of many young designers, this year’s competition will welcome five new designers who, in the face of environmental challenges, will use the show as a platform to raise awareness of important environmental and social issues including climate change and mental health.
- RHS Flower Power Garden – Former RHS Young Designer finalist Anca Panait returns to the show to explore ‘Flower Power’, highlighting the power of colours and how they affect our mental health and wellbeing.
- BBC Local Radio City Garden Competition – The 2021 Show will welcome the winning garden designs submitted by listeners of BBC Radio Manchester, Merseyside and Lancashire. The gardens will be brought to life following the competition which was launched last year and take inspiration from the winners’ local areas as they showcase what their locality means to them.
