Qatar Airways and Aer Lingus have launched a new airline codeshare partnership.
The codeshare pact is now live and gives customers greater access to more destinations across the UK and Ireland.
It also offers seamless one-stop travel globally to Africa, Asia, Australia, the Middle East and New Zealand.
Qatar Airways will add its code on flights operated by Aer Lingus and Aer Lingus Regional.
Once fully implemented, Qatar Airways will have codeshare coverage with all IAG carriers, including British Airways, Iberia, Vueling, and Aer Lingus.
This new airline codeshare will enable connections between Qatar Airways and Aer Lingus flights through Dublin, London, and Manchester.
Customers will be able to travel between Irish and UK destinations including Aberdeen, Belfast, Cork, and Glasgow.
There are also codeshare connections via Qatar Airways’ global network through its Doha hub.
Qatar Airways CCO, Thierry Antinori, said: “Customers will benefit from a wider choice of global destinations. The move also builds on our long-term strategic relationship with IAG as we expand our codeshare coverage even further.”
This latest tie-up follows the strategic joint business alliance between Qatar Airways, British Airways and Iberia.
