Qatar Airways and Aer Lingus have now launched a new codeshare partnership. This is a landmark move as the national carrier of Qatar will give its customers access to more destinations across the UK and Ireland through the codeshare agreement. The codeshare agreement, which began on March 13, will also strengthen the airline’s ongoing partnership expansion with Aer Lingus’s parent company. We are talking about the International Airlines Group (IAG).

As Qatar Airways and Aer Lingus launched a new codeshare partnership on March 13, customers will get greater access to more destinations that are spread across the UK and Ireland. As it happens, it will also benefit passengers across the globe, which includes Asia, the Middle East, New Zealand, Australia, and Africa. It’s worth mentioning that with Qatar Airways adding its codeshare on flights by the national carrier of Ireland and Aer Lingus Regional, it is bound to strengthen its partnership expansion with the International Airlines Group.

Once the codeshare is implemented, Qatar Airways will have considerable coverage of all the IAG carriers. Yes, this includes Iberia, Vueling, British Airways, and of course Aer Lingus. This means that it will solidify its position in the European market as well.
For customers, it means seamless travel between Irish and UK destinations. This includes Aberdeen, Belfast, Cork, and Glasgow. This is a result of the new codeshare connection between Qatar Airways and Aer Lingus flights through the cities of Manchester, Dublin, and London. Not to mention, this move also enables customers to benefit from the wide choice of global destinations.
