Qatar Airways and Ooredoo have entered into a strategic partnership to jointly develop an advanced Hybrid Multi-Cloud environment. The agreement was signed by Sheikh Ali bin Jabor bin Mohammad Al-Thani, CEO of Ooredoo Qatar, and Engr. Badr Mohammed Al Meer, CEO of Qatar Airways Group, Qatar News Agency (QNA) reported.

The Hybrid Multi-Cloud setup will offer Qatar Airways the flexibility to choose the most suitable location for its workloads based on various factors such as business requirements, data security, data sovereignty, and latency. This will allow Qatar Airways to leverage the capabilities of the Public Cloud to drive innovation and swiftly deploy new services, enhancing the overall customer experience. At the same time, Qatar Airways will be able to maintain high-performance workloads with exceptional speed, low latency, and robust security in its dedicated Private Cloud environment. Also, Ooredoo will facilitate direct connections between Qatar Airways’ facilities and the Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud platforms through a network fabric.
Moreover, this state-of-the-art solution combines the strengths of leading Hyperscalers, Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud, with the resilience and security of Qatar Airways’ dedicated Private Cloud, powered by renowned technology providers including Nutanix, F5, and Cisco. By leveraging the capabilities of the Public Cloud, Qatar Airways is well-positioned to drive innovation, deliver exceptional services, and continuously enhance the customer experience. Ooredoo’s provision of a network fabric will enable direct connectivity between Qatar Airways’ premises and the Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud platforms.
