Summary
- Earn Avios with all
one
world airlines with Qatar Airways Privilege Club, enhancing flexibility. - Qatar Airways Privilege Club also offers opportunities to earn Avios with many additional partner airlines.
- Earnings with all airlines vary based on distance flown and ticket booking code – not on revenue spend as other programs are increasingly doing.
With most airline loyalty programs, you can earn miles or points from other airlines as well as the main operating airline. As Qatar Airways is a member of the oneworld alliance, all flights with oneworld airlines will earn Avios in the Qatar Airways Privilege Club. It also includes a good number of additional non-oneworld airlines – Bangkok Airways, JetBlue, LATAM, MEA Middle East Airlines, Oman Air, RwandAir, S7 Airlines, and Virgin Australia.

Earning with all oneworld partner airlines
Avios is the shared loyalty currency of several airlines. These currently include British Airways, Iberia, Aer Lingus, and Qatar Airways. Finnair will start using Avios in March 2024. This now makes Avios an even more useful and flexible currency, as points can be earned to any of these loyalty programs and transferred between the different programs freely.

With Qatar Airways Privilege Club, Avios are earned on all airlines based on the flight distance and the booking class/fare code of the ticket. It does not use a revenue-based earning model (even for its own flights), which is now common with many airlines (including other Avios partners).

Avios are also earned in a similar way on flights booked or flown with all oneworld airlines. These are:

Cathay Pacific |
Royal Air Maroc |

With all these airlines, Avios are earned based on the distance flown and ticket booking code. The earning ratios, however, do vary between the airlines. Full details and a table for each airline can be found on the Qatar Airways Privilege Club website.
For example, the earnings with American Airlines are as follows:

Earning with other airlines
Qatar Airways has a particularly large number of other participating airlines in Privilege Club (nine other airlines, compared, for example, to just three with British Airways Executive Club). Once again, these all earn Avios based on the distance flown and ticket booking code.
These airlines are:
- Bangkok Airways: Avios are earned on all flights operated by Bangkok Airways. All booking classes except the lowest economy discount classes (V, G, Q, and B) earn 100% or more.
- JetBlue: All JetBlue marketed and operated flights earn Avios. All Mint fares earn 125%, and all Core fares (except the lowest L class) earn Avios at 100%.

- LATAM: LATAM Airlines has left the oneworld alliance, leaving something of a gap in coverage in the region. Qatar Airways Privilege Club still allows earning on all domestic and international LATAM-operated flights. As with most oneworld airlines, this is over 100% in full-fare economy and premium booking codes but drops as low as 25% for discounted economy class.
- MEA Middle East Airlines: All business fares (except O class) earn Avios of at least 125%. Economy tiers down from 100% to 25%, but the lowest classes of A, S, E, G, W, and X do not earn Avios.
- Oman Air: The airline is expected to join oneworld in the second half of 2024 as its newest member. In the meantime, Qatar Airways Privilege Club already allows Avios earnings on flights – but only between Doha and Muscat. Note that this is not possible yet with most other oneworld loyalty programs (including British Airways Executive Club and American Airlines AAdvantage). Business and First fares earn 150% or more, and economy ranges from 100% down to just 10% for super saver (E class) tickets. This will no doubt change with Oman Air joining the alliance.

- RwandAir: Allows earning on all Rwandir-operated flights and gives useful coverage in Africa. Business fares earn 125% or more, and economy class tiers down from 100% to 25%.
- S7 Airlines: The Russian airline has been suspended from oneworld since 2022. Qatar Airways Privilege Club still permits Avios earning, however. This is at a rate of 125% for all business fares, 100% for full fare Y and B class economy, and 25% for all other discounted economy classes.
- Virgin Australia: Together with Qantas as an alliance member, this partnership gives great coverage in Australia for Qatar Airways Privilege Club. Avios are earned on all Virgin Australia marketed and operated flights. All business fares are 150%, Economy Flex earns 100%, Economy Choice earns 50%, and Lite Economy earns 25%. The lowest X, Z, and U booking classes do not earn.
Qatar Airways Privilege Club offers good earning opportunities with several useful partners in addition to the alliance members. Feel free to discuss these earning opportunities or anything else about Qatar Airways Privilege Club in the comments section below.
