A Kenyan woman who attended an interview with Qatar Airways has been left disappointed after failing in the Qatar Airways interviews after being shortlisted.
The lady shared was among the tens of people who applied for the Qatar Airways jobs which were advertised in December 2023, and like other candidates, she was filled with hope of succeeding in the interview process.
However, in a series of videos shared on TikTok, the woman has been detailing how the experience was for her, and she blames her failure in the interview on one thing: a scar on her finger.
“The interview has three parts. The first is where I dropped my CV and was asked three questions max in a span of two minutes. If you proceed, you are given a sheet of paper for the next stage. It is a scar and an English test. I did not succeed because she saw a scar on my finger,” Val told TUKO.co.ke when reached for a comment on her experience.

“I tried to cover up the scar with a concealer, but it was still seen,” she added.
Val said that even though the interviewers did expressly complain about her scar, she knew the reason for failing in the cabin crew interviews.
“They never quite say that the scar will prohibit you from proceeding to the next stage. But you just know,” she said.

Maserame’s search for employment had been a tricky one, and after eventually landing her dream internship, she had to go back to work at Clicks after three months, when the contract had sadly ended.
“I have been putting in effort to apply for jobs related to my qualifications with no luck. I had attended seven promising interviews during a period of four months with no luck. But I kept on applying and didn’t give up.”
