Reports have added that the plane was headed for San Francisco in the US from Sydney, Australia. The plane recognized the problem soon after take-off and landed safely to address the issue.
A similar incident took place with United Airlines when a mechanical issue caused flames to shoot from the rear engine of a Boeing 737 plane.
