United Airlines Adds New Flight to High-Demand Destination

United Airlines is launching a new direct flight service connecting Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) in New Jersey with Marrakesh Menara Airport (RAK) in Morocco. This new route is scheduled to commence on October 24, 2024, and will operate three times a week, subject to government approval.

This development marks United’s first-ever direct service to Marrakesh, establishing the airline as the only carrier to offer direct flights between the United States and this popular Moroccan tourist destination. The addition of Marrakesh will expand United’s reach in Africa, making it the fifth African city the airline serves directly.

United currently operates direct flights to three other African destinations: Accra, Ghana; Lagos, Nigeria; and Cape Town, South Africa. The airline also offers a seasonal service to Johannesburg, South Africa. The new Marrakesh route aims to provide travelers with convenient access to the city’s vibrant culture, bustling souks, and renowned landmarks like the Jardin Majorelle.
