A United Airlines flight from San Francisco to Boston was diverted to Denver Monday evening after one of the plane’s wings was damaged mid-flight, according to published reports.
Flight 354 landed in Denver shortly after 7:20 p.m. so that crews could address an issue with a slat on one of the wings, according to The Boston Globe. The plane landed safely, no one was injured and the 165 passengers were able to board another flight to Boston later that night.
Video from the flight showed damage to the plane’s right wing. The passenger in the video says that the wing started “coming apart” after the plane took off in San Francisco.
The plane was a Boeing 757-200, according to the Globe. It is unclear whether the issue is related to Boeing’s ongoing safety issues with its Max series planes.
