United Airlines resumed daily non-stop flights from Newark Liberty International Airport to Tel Aviv in Israel on Wednesday after passenger and cargo service was suspended in October.
Newark to Tel Aviv flights officially resumed on March 2 and 4, but the planes stopped in Munich to ensure all providers were ready to support the non-stop service that was set to begin on Wednesday. Flights from Newark were not planned for March 3 or 5.
A detailed safety analysis was conducted by United Airlines with the assistance from security experts and government officials from the United States and Israel. The Air Line Pilots Association and the Association of Flight Attendants also worked with United Airlines to ensure safe and well-inform protocols.
