United Airlines has served
Dubai for 11 years. First, it flew from Washington Dulles to the UAE hub between 2008 and 2016. When it launched, it was United’s second Gulf destination after Kuwait. It came four years before Emirates—once its arch-enemy—launched the route.
Second, it inaugurated flights from Newark to Dubai in March 2023, obviously directly based on its then-new Emirates partnership.
