This doesn’t happen every day. A United Airlines plane caught on fire after takeoff because of a “rare rabbit strike.”
That’s according to ABC News, which reported that the plane “experienced an engine fire shortly after takeoff.” However, it returned to the airport safely.
The plane in question was United Flight 2325, which had just left Denver’s airport for Edmonton, Alberta, when the rabbit strike occurred on Sunday, April 13, 2025, according to ABC.
