Vietjet Air has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Airbus for the purchase of 20 A330-900 widebodies.
When finalised, this will be Vietjet’s first-ever widebody order. The aircraft will be operated on the carrier’s growing long-haul network, as well as on high capacity regional services.
They will replace the carrier’s current fleet of leased A330-300s, as well as providing for network expansion.
Vietjet Fleet Renewal
Like many carrier, Vietjet is embarking on a program of fleet modernization and expansion. The new Airbus A330-900s are set to replace the carrier’s current fleet of leased A330-300s, further streamlining its operations and enhancing efficiency.
These new widebodies will cater to Vietjet’s burgeoning long-range network and will also bolster its high-capacity regional services, facilitating broader connectivity and heightened passenger convenience.
