It has been a couple of weeks since Vistara has been making headlines. Unfortunately, the airline is becoming the talk of the town mostly for passengers’ bad experiences and all the inconveniences they face. From a string of flight cancellations and delays to the news about the shortage of pilots, both passengers and the airline faced a lot in the past few days. In between all these, a Vistara spokesperson shared some important plans for this month.
What’s over is over and it’s time for the airline to be back on track. Vinod Kannan, CEO of Vistara held a meeting with the pilots of the airline to address all the issues. Next, some significant plans are coming to action for the airline to be on its way to scale back its regular operations.
As of now, it is cutting down by operating 25 to 30 flights every day, shared a Vistara spokesperson. Vistara is working with only about 10 per cent of its capacity. While stating the scaling-back options for April 2024, the spokesperson revealed that following this pattern will help the airline return to the same level of flight operations as at the end of February 2024.
Operating 25 to 30 flights currently will bring the opportunity to add the required buffer and resilience to everyone’s roster as well. While sharing information about the plans for this month, the spokesperson added how Vistara mostly cancels flights running on the domestic routes. The airline usually cancels the flights ahead of time so that passengers do not face any inconvenience.
Flight cancellations often turn out to be a terrible experience for many passengers. No matter if we have faced a similar situation, we can imagine how one feels about cancellations at any moment. For these affected passengers, Vistara has accommodated them on other planes, as applicable, shared the spokesperson.
All the necessary changes and steps have been taken for April. These are helping the airline to operate well and improve the services with on-time performance.
