The ASA has banned an ad by Wizz Air over claims it was “one of the greenest choices”.
The paid-for ad on Google, which appeared in June 2024, stated: “Fly Wizz Air – one of the greenest choices in air travel.”
Wizz Air Hungary argued it operated “the youngest and most carbon-efficient fleet” in Europe and had the lowest carbon emissions per passenger, which had been independently verified.
The airline said it was renewing its aircraft fleet, with a 10% improvement in fuel…
