Wizz Air Expands Romanian Flights from Timișoara & Brașov

Wizz Air is significantly expanding its presence in Romania, adding new routes and increasing flight frequencies from Timisoara and Brasov. Travelers in Western and Central Romania will benefit from enhanced connectivity and more affordable travel options.

From Timisoara, Wizz Air is launching a new route to Billund, Denmark, commencing December 14, 2024. This new service opens up exciting opportunities for both leisure and business travelers seeking to explore the LEGO heartland or connect with Scandinavian commerce. In addition to the new route, Wizz Air is boosting flight frequencies on several popular routes from Timisoara, including Memmingen (Germany) which will increase to five weekly flights, Dortmund (Germany) to four weekly flights, and Basel-Mulhouse-Freiburg to three weekly flights. These increased frequencies provide greater flexibility and convenience for passengers.

Brasov, a burgeoning travel hub in the heart of Transylvania, is also seeing increased Wizz Air capacity. The airline is adding a second Airbus A321 aircraft to its Brasov base. This aircraft addition enables Wizz Air to launch a new route to London Luton Airport, beginning December 13, 2024. London Luton is a major gateway, providing extensive onward connections. Furthermore, the carrier will also ramp up the frequency of the Dortmund route from Brasov to four flights per week.
