Wizz Air flight delayed after crew wrongly ‘accused passengers of stealing phone’

A Wizz Air flight was held up for nearly an hour and a half after staff wrongly accused passengers of stealing a security guard’s phone, it is claimed.

The bizarre incident unfolded on Wizz Air flight W95004, scheduled to depart London Luton for Tirana, Albania, on Thursday, when staff accused passengers of stealing a security guard’s mobile phone.

Police boarded the plane, and passengers were detained on the tarmac for nearly 90 minutes.
