Wizz Air, a Hungarian low-cost airline, has launched its most significant expansion in Slovakia to date. The airline is introducing a new base at Košice International Airport, its second in the country alongside Bratislava.
This expansion will see Wizz Air operate a total of 18 routes from Slovakia. Ten of these routes will depart from Košice, with the remaining eight originating from Bratislava.
The new operations from Košice include direct flights to a variety of destinations. These destinations are being served by two Airbus A320 aircraft stationed at the airport.
