Hungarian airline Wizz Air will take a plane load of passengers from London Gatwick to a mystery destination for four days of “fun, including cultural, culinary and adventure activities”
Brave holidaymakers can head on a mystery trip to an unknown destination with Wizz Air.
The budget airline is sending people on what may be a trip of a lifetime as part of its new #LetsGetLostwithWIZZ campaign.
Those who get themselves a ticket have to turn up to London Gatwick on March 7 where they will be put on a plane to an unknown destination. The selected few can expect a “jam-packed four-day itinerary of fun, including cultural, culinary and adventure activities”.
The question of whether to pack string vests and swimsuits or snow gear and hiking boots will be answered before departure, with winners only being told what climate to pack for a few days ahead of the trip. No other clues will be revealed until touching down in the unknown location.
For a chance to win a seat on the plane, UK residents can visit the Wizz Air Instagram and follow the prompts on the latest Instagram reel. Entries close on 22 February at 00.01pm. Those selected will be able to bring a plus one on the trip and winners will be contacted via Instagram.
Wizz Air flies to more than 70 destinations from the UK. Last year, the most popular destinations for Brits included Morocco, Cyprus, Greece, Turkey and Spain. It is unclear if the Hungarian aviation firm will ship the 35 ticket holders to one of its most popular spots, or go for somewhere a little more off the beaten track.

It was announced at the end of January that the low-cost airline would start flights between the UK and Israel again by March. Wizz Air had previously suspended its services due to the conflict between Israel and Hamas that began in October. From March, Wizz Air will be flying from cities including Budapest, Sofia, Bucharest, Krakow, London and Rome to Tel Aviv.
The Hungarian airline used to connect the UK and Israel with flights from Gatwick and Luton. However, British Airways, Virgin Atlantic and easyJet have not yet announced any plans to resume their services to Israel. El Al, an Israeli airline, has continued its flights between the UK and Tel Aviv throughout the conflict.
