The number of passengers on Wizz Air’s Hungary flights rose 29% to 5.2 million last year, the low-fare airline said on Friday, according to a report by state news wire MTI.
Overall, passenger numbers of the Hungarian airline climbed 32% to 60.3 million.
Wizz Air has 15 aircraft based in Budapest and Debrecen. It flies to 70 destinations in 29 countries from Hungary.
In other news, the airline said that it will relaunch flights between Budapest and Tel Aviv starting March 1 in a press release sent to the Budapest Business Journal.
Wizz Air will operate the flight three times a week. The airline suspended the flights to Tel Aviv on October 7.
The airline is also relaunching its Tel Aviv flights from Bucharest, Krakow, London-Luton, Roma-Fiumicino, and Sofia in the spring.
