Wizz Air plans to double its number of weekly flights between London Luton and Sarajevo durng the 2024/25 winter season. The low cost carrier will introduce an additional two weekly flights, for a total of four, starting October 27. It represents an increase on both this summer’s and the previous winter’s two weekly operations between the two cities. Wizz Air faces increased indirect competition on the route, with Ryanair recently commencing services between London Stansted and Bosna and Herzegovina’s capital. Wizz Air handled 9.021 passengers on its London – Sarajevo service during the first quarter of the year, up 9.1% on Q1 2023.
