Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) is to resume flights to Beirut in June due to “improving conditions” in the region.
SAS will operate five weekly flights to Lebanon’s capital this summer, with three services from Copenhagen from 6 June and two from Stockholm starting on 17 June.
It will be first time that the airline has flown to Beirut since October 2023 when it “paused” operations due to the deteriorating security situation in the region.
“This decision follows the positive developments in the region, with several European airlines also resuming or expanding their services to Beirut,” said SAS in a statement.
SAS will operate the Copenhagen-Beirut service until 25 October and the Stockholm-Beirut flights up to 31 August….
