Scandic Hotels is set to open its third property in Berlin – and its ninth in Germany – with plans to take over a vacant hotel in the city’s western downtown area.

The renovation works will include “technical and sustainability-related investments” and operations will be certified by the Nordic Swan Ecolabel, Scandic said in a statement.
