Virgin Atlantic has officially confirmed it will launch a new route connecting London Heathrow (LHR) and Seoul Incheon (ICN) airports, with service scheduled to begin in spring 2026. This will be the airline’s first service to South Korea.
The new route will operate as a daily service, expanding the travel options between the two major cities. This move enhances Virgin Atlantic’s partnership with Korean Air, which also operates a daily flight between London and Seoul. Both airlines are members of the SkyTeam alliance, which Virgin Atlantic joined in 2023. This collaboration aims to provide customers with more choice and reciprocal loyalty benefits.
Juha Jarvinen, chief commercial officer at Virgin Atlantic, stated that South Korea is a key market for the airline. He highlighted the route’s importance for both corporate and leisure travellers, noting that the service will connect two global hubs.
