SAA and CemAir have signed a co-operation agreement.
The deal effectively extends the route network reach of both carriers and offers customers using both airlines on a multi-destination voyage a seamless check-in experience.
SAA’s Interim CEO, Thomas Kgokolo, said the benefit of the agreement for customers was that it would lower costs, with the need to book one ticket instead of two. “Fares will be issued on one itinerary and ticket, guaranteeing connectivity to more than one destination. It also allows passengers to through-check their baggage between the connecting flights of the two carriers.
“Over the past few years, we have watched CemAir grow into a respected aviation brand with a loyal and growing customer base. This interline arrangement enables connection and flexibility for time-sensitive passengers. It also adds more destinations to the route network of both airlines.
