Sabre, a leading software and technology company, reported an average booking fee of US$5.81 in Q1, a 7% rise from the previous year. This increase was attributed to a surge in corporate travel. CFO Mike Randolfi explained that the company has been witnessing a positive shift in travel types and airlines over the last quarters. Notably, the Asia Pacific region displayed significant strength, driving the average booking fee higher. The number was also boosted by an 8% year on year rise in non-air booking fees. CEO Kurt Ekert anticipates that the average booking fee will stay around US$5.81 for the rest of the year. Sabre’s Q1 revenue was US$783 million, marking a 5% increase. The company reported an operating income of US$98 million, bouncing back from an earlier operating loss.
