Mar. 10—WILKES-BARRE — Progress on a long-awaited hotel and conference center in the city is moving forward and residents got an update on the project at the Downtown Residents’ Association’s monthly meeting Monday.
Stephen Barrouk, a commercial real estate broker involved with the project, showed off the most recent design plans for the 111-room Hyatt Hotel and Conference Center at North River and Market streets, the site of the former Sterling Hotel, which was demolished in 2013.
