Months after the historic Hotel Marysville caught fire, leading to disagreement between city officials and the owner of the building as to what’s next, demolition is now underway on Wednesday. Feather River Plaza, the company that owns the hotel, argued that the building could have been saved or sold to someone who could revive it. And at one point, it offered to sell the building to the city.
