Have you ever dreamed of stepping foot into one of Pixar’s animations? In West Hollywood, you can.
In celebration of the 20th anniversary of “The Incredibles,” Airbnb has recreated fictional character Edna Mode’s modern mansion – the latest in a series of iconic properties the company has unveiled.
“Icons are extraordinary experiences (inspired by) the world’s greatest icons – in music, film, sports and more,” Airbnb cofounder and chief executive Brian Chesky previously said at a May 1 event. “Icons take you inside worlds that only existed in your imagination – until now.”
Edna’s home will welcome guests to browse Edna’s closet and then design their own tailored Incredibles supersuit.
A team of expert designers will be there to ensure a comfortable experience for visitors and there will be 24-hour security on-site. Outside of those experiences, guests will have total privacy in the home, according to the property’s listing.
There will be a total of 15 experiences available, for up to 4 guests each, occurring in June at $0. It is targeted at superfans.
Instead of paying for the booking upfront, Airbnb customers can request to book Edna’s home by submitting a personal statement online and from there guests are selected by the host.
Other Icons Airbnb has announced include the “Up” house in New Mexico and the “X-Men” mansion in New York.
