The remote, picturesque chalet in the French Alps featured in the Oscar-winning “Anatomy of a Fall” was available on Airbnb for 90 euros, or around $98, a night.
The duplex property boasted an impressive 4.97 rating on the platform and was listed for around four years, Vanity Fair reported.
The rental features two bedrooms and one bathroom, and it can hold up to four guests, the listing, which has been taken down, said.
While the decor is pretty unremarkable, its appeal lies in the stunning panoramic vista that can be viewed from the terrace.
The booking page for the chalet was apparently taken offline after a post on X about it went viral ahead of the Oscars.
The chalet had been booked out until 2025 before the listing was removed, Thrillist reported.
A representative for Airbnb did not respond to a request for comment from Business Insider.
The superhost behind the listing previously confirmed that the chalet had been used as the setting for the thriller by director Justine Triet.
“They were looking for a house that was partly isolated, partly undergoing work, and with a front high enough that a character could kill themself by falling,” she said in an interview with Mon Séjour en Montagne, per EnVols.
The property, which sits in the village of Villarembert in the French Alps, certainly fits the bill — although one notable alteration had to be made.
When filming took place in 2022, a pair of apex windows were temporarily added to the chalet’s facade.
As anyone who has seen “Anatomy of a Fall” knows, they play a pretty important role in the contentious death at the center of the plot.
