The Sarpy County Sheriff’s Office arrested 10 people in connection with a loud house party allegedly featuring drugs, alcohol and guns.
About 1 a.m. Sunday, deputies responded to a noise complaint regarding a party at 189th and Briar Streets in an unincorporated area of western Sarpy County. The house, according to a press release from the Sheriff’s Office, had been used as an Airbnb.
Deputies found a crowd of about 125 people, mostly between 18 to 25 years old, outside the residence. Deputies found about 50 more people inside.
A man allegedly ran from the party when deputies arrived but was arrested after a deputy chased him. As the man was being arrested, a large crowd surrounded deputies, leading deputies to request additional law enforcement assistance, which included SWAT and crisis negotiators before things were brought under control, authorities said.
