Over recent years, more and more people are opting to stay in an Airbnb instead of a hotel. It’s much cheaper, and if you have a big group that you are traveling with, a lot of times this is a great way to be together and just pool the funds together.
Airbnb has a few options that are supposed to be more of an “experience” and not just a place to stay. It’s got a cool factor.
This time, Airbnb has launched their “Icon” airbnb stays. These Icon places include homes from various movies with unique experiences with the celebrities that were featured in the movies. Some of the homes that are on the list include the mansion from the movie UP, X-Men ’97, and more. The will continue to be rolled out throughout the year.
The one in Minnesota is the Prince home from the movie Purple Rain.
Prince purchased the home in Minneapolis for the Purple Rain movie, but the public has not be invited until now.
These experiences are very often free, or very affordable like only up to $100 per person. Some of the Icon stays will also include some extras. The Purple Rain home is offered by Wendy and Lisa – from the Revolution, Prince’s band.
These Icon homes are available on a first come, first served basis. And will be available for a limited time. In order to book any of the Icon Airbnbs, you do need to go to their events page and request a booking.
