Both bedrooms have a queen bed, with hybrid coil/memory foam mattresses, and extra pillows and blankets, should you need them for a cold, cuddly night. Bonus: there are room darkening shades for all the bedroom windows, in case you want to sleep in late during your stay.
The kitchen has pots, pans, cooking utensils, and everything else you need to make a hearty meal. Plus, there is a washer and dryer so that you can do any laundry during your stay.
There’s a 55-inch television, record player, books, board games, and more. Just imagine spinning a record and cuddling up with someone special in front of the indoor fireplace.
In the winter, you’re greeted with calming snowy scenes. The changing of the leaves in the fall is simply magical, as well. However, it’s the spring and summer months where this Higgins Lake retreat really shines.
Or come back to this lakefront Michigan AirBnB after exploring the nearby nature preserve or a day on the water of Lake Higgins. The hosts of this modern Roscommon vacation spot included an outdoor shower so you can do a quick rinse before heading in to get ready for a night on the town.
However, I would personally spend most of my evening time in the 6-person outdoor hot tub, with a drink in one hand and a book in the other.
Whether you’re headed up north for a weekend or week-long getaway, The Modern Moose on Lake Higgins in Roscommon makes an excellent choice. If you plan to bring your little ones with you, we can’t recommend a visit to the Roscommon Petting Zoo enough. Don’t forget a camera to capture all those new memories you’re going to make!
