An Airbnb guest in the US claimed being unfairly charged for damages he insists never occurred.
Sharing his experience in a series of posts on X, Luke Burgis alleged that the host accused his family of leaving a mysterious stain on the hardwood floor which led to an astronomical repair bill. The issue has since been resolved, but not before it garnered widespread attention online.
Luke recalled staying at an Airbnb in New York City with his wife and daughter in November. Their stay appeared uneventful until, after checkout, the host accused them of leaving a stain that allegedly required a $7,500 (Rs 6.5 lakh approximately) repair including floorboard replacement.
