In a report released this International Women’s Day, Airbnb highlights the growing success of women hosts in India. Nearly 30 per cent of hosts on the platform are women, who collectively earned INR 2.6 billion in 2024. These hosts contribute significantly to India’s hospitality sector, providing unique and welcoming experiences that reflect the changing dynamics of the industry.
Around 35 per cent of the Guest Favourite listings in India were hosted by women, a clear indication of their growing influence and expertise in the hospitality sector. The trend reflects not only the increasing presence of women in the industry but also their success in creating positive, memorable experiences for travellers.
