ASSA ABLOY, a Swedish conglomerate renowned for its comprehensive range of products and services in locks, doors, gates, and entrance automation, has announced a strategic move to bolster its presence in the hospitality sector. The company has signed an agreement to acquire Nomadix and Global Reach, leading providers based in the US and UK, respectively, known for their innovative Wi-Fi access and engagement platform solutions for hotels and resorts worldwide.
This acquisition will allow ASSA ABLOY to further enhance its offerings within the hospitality business and explore complementary growth opportunities. Terms of the acquisition have not been disclosed. The acquisition is subject to customary closing conditions and is expected to close during the second quarter of 2024.
Nomadix and Global Reach bring to the table a robust tech platform that encompasses hardware, software, and analytics tools designed to securely connect and engage with customers and devices via Wi-Fi networks. This acquisition is poised to enrich ASSA ABLOY’s technological capabilities.

Founded in 1998, Nomadix and Global Reach have a combined workforce of some 120 employees and main offices in Los Angeles and London, the companies have operated under a unified management and ownership structure. Post-acquisition, they will be integrated into the Global Solutions business area Hospitality of ASSA ABLOY.
