The trend towards taking a summer vacation is rising, with three out of four American travelers claiming increased travel prioritization in 2024. In addition, recent findings indicate a shift towards a more digital, self-service hotel experience. A Mews commissioned survey conducted by OnePoll revealed almost 80% of travelers would consider staying at a hotel offering an entirely automated front desk or self-service kiosk. The survey found over 40% of respondents preferred checking in via the hotel’s website, app or digital kiosk. The survey, which included 2,000 participants evenly divided between travelers and hotel workers, showed that hotel employees expect guests to increasingly utilize technology during their stays.
